The company is being steered towards growth and specialization in Music Administration and Music Teaching as a Public Service. Many hours have been spent on voluntary and non-voluntary initiatives and interventions with the assistance of the Jamaica Association of Vintage Artistes to help the Industry of the Arts in Jamaica to grow in it’s business structures and understanding and implementation of copyright laws. Interventions took place amongst indivuals, communities and schools.
Many achievements have been made in typesetting and editing or co-editing greatly distributed books such as Working For The Lord By Father Richard Holung, Noel Dexter’s songs and Christmas book, Songs arranged or written by Marjorie Whylie, Orchestrations by Donovan Cole, Joy Fairclough, Lah Lah Book of Sight Singing by Pauline Watson and Barbados Folk Songs revised edition by Ian Randle Publishing.
Other achievements are the regularizing of residual payments to many of Jamaica’s Vintage Artiste through Music Administration and the creation of great performers and recording artistes all across Jamaica. Joy Music Ltd. hosted the first Performance Health Science Workshop in 2010 with the new Main focus of using Music and the Arts as tools of health improvements and cognitive stimulation. It has continued to host workshops and invest it’s funds in individual, community and school interventions with the use of music and the other performing and visual arts.
