A SHORT INTRODUCTION TO CREATIVE ARTS RECORDING AND RELEASE REQUIREMENTS

All recording deals should start with the information about the names and percentages agreed to by the songwriters (tune writer and lyricist), arrangers, musicians, and the executive producer, who pays for the recordings to be produced by the creative persons, and the producer of the recording.
This information is often the life saver for many artistes who need to hand the information in to the PRO/CMO/RRO/PUBLISHERS/DISTRIBUTORS and who would have forgotten their recording information after many years have passed.
Before starting a recording session, it must be clear if this is a session for work for hire. It must be clear if the creative artist is signing away his/her royalty which mean he/she will not be collecting any royalties (royalties are earned after the initial publication and release commercially).
